2025-2026 Dor Hadash Director
Dor Hadash was founded in 2018, as a partnership among Detroit based Jewish organizations, as the number of Jewish families in Detroit started growing rapidly. Recognizing both the need for a Jewish family program in Detroit, and the opportunity to build an innovative model for Jewish education, the program evolved to be partnership-based and committed to learning for the whole family, not just children. Downtown Synagogue anchors the program that also serves Congregation T’chiyah and the Reconstructionist Congregation of Detroit and works with Repair the World, Adamah, and the Cohn-Haddow Center for Jewish Studies at Wayne State University to provide both formal and experiential Jewish learning for children ages 4 through 10 as well as their parents.
